Here are some more exciting reasons to stay and visit Norfolk. I love Norfolk for its array of festivals, from fairy weekends to music festivals, with a dash of crab for dinner and a pirate shanty on the way. Come join us this summer for some fun in the English sun, the Norfolk way.

MAY: Is a hotbed of festival activity !

8-10 MAY: Folk on the Pier 2015
Folk on the Pier is held every year at the Pavilion Theatre on Cromer Pier in Cromer, Norfolk, on England’s beautiful east coast. Described by Fairport Convention’s Dave Pegg as “the Best Gig on the North Sea”, Folk on the Pier is a highly regarded showcase for the finest folk, and folk-rock acts.

2-17 MAY: Broads Outdoor Festival
The 5th Outdoors Festival boasts 188 events over 16 days from gentle walks and mill tours to adventurous bike rides and canoe trails. Check out http://www.enjoythebroads.com for information.

15-17 MAY, Crab and Lobster festival, Cromer & Sherringham,
Friday night to Sunday night, this looks like a lot of fun for all the family, free entertainment, food trails, art trails and much more. http://www.crabandlobsterfestival.co.uk

8-24 MAY: Norfolk and Norwich Festival,
lots of brilliant events on, well worth checking out there website for tickets and information. http://www.nnfestival.org.uk

24/25th MAY: The Fairy Fair
This looks enchanting, with kids workshops and music and food. Check out http://www.fairylandtrust.org. Tickets for the 2015 Fairy Fair 24/25 May, Holt Hall, Norfolk, now on sale.

JULY

2 JULY- 2 AUGUST: CLEY15
http://www.cleycontemporaryart.org, The North Norfolk Exhibition Project (NNEP) annual summer exhibition of new contemporary art. Located at Cley-next-the-Sea in North Norfolk. I make a point if checking this out every year, it gets better and better.

12-25 JULY: Kings Lynn Festival

19-26 JULY: Holt Festival
This has some great events taking place, from a night with Blake, to an afternoon with Tom Parker Bowles & Loyd Grossman , box office is open now. ww.holtfestival.org

31st JULY- 9th AUGUST: Wells Carnival,
Wells-next-the-Sea Annual Summer Carnival, 9 days of fun & entertainment for everyone. http://www.wellscarnival.com

AUGUST

1 – 9th AUGUST: Sheringham Carnival,
Another one for the whole family! http://www.sheringhamcarnival.com, line up available end of April.

11-22 AUGUST: 11th North Norfolk Music ,

15-17th AUGUST: Voewood Festival,
Decadence has never been so civilized. In Voewood, check out http://www.voewoodfestival.com

15-21st AUGUST: Cromer Carnival,
http://www.cromercarnival.co.uk Worth checking out the line up of events, get involved. The carnival parade is on the 19th AUGUST. Check the website to look up Children’s week, the week before the carnival.

SEPTEMBER

11-13th SEPT: Wells Pirate Festival,
Wells has a 3 day Pirate festival, one not to be missed. I’m booking it in now. So much fun for all the family. Good to book somewhere to stay early, as it’s very popular.

25-27th SEPT: Kings Lynn, Poetry Festival,

OCTOBER

23 OCT – 31 OCT: COAST 2015,
Cromer and Sheringham Art and Literary Festival “Littoral Living, the highs and lows”. Things happening along the North Norfolk Coast, Check out http://www.casaf.co.uk if interested.
